EL FIN DAY 8

LAST DAY!

Well it has been a good week here in Mazatlan,  GOD has moved in mighty ways and touched all of our
hearts!!
Today we were able to go out a local island for a few hours and hang out with the students one last time.  It was hard to say goodbye, but also exciting because we know the LORD is going to do huge things in each of their lives.

Tonight we had a goodbye dinner at Lilia's house, and said goodbye to all the Spirit & Truth staff.   It was an amazing way to end our trip.

We cant wait to tell you all about what GOD has done here! See you tomorrow!!

Day 7

WOW! What a day here in Mazatlan!  I cant say enough how much GOD is moving through our team every moment they are here!  So many members are feeling the LORD in a mighty way as they are here! Good stuff!

Today was pretty simple, but really good.  We started the day off with our morning session where Sam and Matt got to give their testimonies.  Alfonso also talked to us about sharing the gospel and how important it is in our walk with CHRIST.

Tonight we had our final celebration at the new Spirit and Truth church.  It was an awesome time of worship with the students here, and also just a good time to fellowship with them.  Alfonso spoke again and shared the gospel to many new students who came tonight. All around a good day!

Tomorrow we are headed to the island for a free day! And a final dinner at Lilia's tomorrow night!

Day 6

LAST FULL DAY OF CAMP

Today was a day full of activity and learning.  Since it was the last full day of camp we really wanted to pour into the students here, and equip them for when they leave camp.  So we had a day full of teaching and equipping them to do the work of the kingdom.
After our normal worship and devotionals, we broke up into four different workshops: journaling, songwriting, lighting/technology, and a personality course.  By doing each of the workshops we were able to utilize the different gifts each student has.  It was an awesome opportunity to show them that the body of CHRIST is made up of many unique parts, and each one of us play a role in that body.

During our evening service, Larry spoke about walking closely with the FATHER.  He said the best way of doing this is by yielding, dedicating, and sanctifying our lives to the LORD.  He also stressed the importance of finding a mentor who will lead you in your journey, and also to be mentoring others around you.  It was all together an amazing night to wrap up what this camp is all about.

Be praying for us tomorrow as we prepare and do our city wide outreach.  We will begin tomorrow morning by walking around the city inviting people to our outreach that evening at Spirit and Truth's new building.  Then at night we are expecting HUGE things from our KING as our students lead the way!

Day Cinco, Yall!

Hola from Mazatlan! It has been another great day in this beautiful country serving these beautiful people.  We all can't wait to get home and share in more depth what the LORD has taught each of us.  It has been really good.

To start of the day today Bethany and Andrew were able to lead worship for our morning session, it was really awesome for Bethany to be able to serve in that way! We were so proud of her!  After the worship Dan, Jackie, and Stephon all had the chance to share there testimonies.  They all did an amazing job at sharing their hearts toward the camp and the students, it was a great way to start our day.  After the service we individually broke out for a time to study Romans 12, which was our scripture for the day.  After about 30 minutes we came together and formed small groups which were led by our group.  This was an awesome time of sharing what the LORD had taught each person in their quiet, and for us to demonstrate what it looks like for the body of CHRIST to come together and share with each other.  It also stretched our team members a bit:)

Throughout the rest of the day we got to hang out with the students on the beach and in the pool.  This provided for a lot of much needed and wanted fellowship time together.

Tonights session was another AMAZING time of worship and prayer.  I can not express to you over a blog what GOD is doing here in Mexico in the hearts and lives of these students! The camp has just begun and we have already learned so much!

Thank you again for your prayers and support! Keep it up!  We'll talk to you more tmrw! ADIOS AMIGOS!

Day 4 on the 4th

It was another amazing day in Mazatlan, the LORD is moving throughout our team more and more each day. EXCITING STUFF!!

Today was the first official day of our student camp here.  We were able to meet all the students for the first time, and give them the camp shirts.  The students walked in the worship room for the first time and were truly amazed.  You could definitely tell that most of them had never seen anything like what we have set up.  This afternoon we had a really fun time of worship & prayer to begin our camp.  After that we broke up into groups for an hour or so (our students mixed with their students) and were assigned a word to design a skit around.  After the hour was up each group got in front of everyone and presented their skit.  This was a great opportunity for our students to get to know the students here, in a hands on way.  After the skits we had our evening worship service which was an awesome time of free worship.  It was incredible to hear the Mexican students singing in Spanish, while Andrew led our students alongside in English.  All around it was as good of a first day as we could of asked for, the LORD showed up in a huge way!

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support! Below are some pictures from the last few days. We finally got them to load!

Day 3

It was another beautiful day here in Mazatlan, every day the FATHER is teaching each team member new and exciting things!

To begin day three we went to the village of Elota, while there we were able to minister to the people in two main ways.  Larry had the opportunity to speak to the adults in the church about what it means to live as the body of CHRIST in their village.  While he was sharing the rest of the team shared a bible story and the puppet show with the children of the village.  It was an amazing time for us as a team to unite with the body in Elota.  After the service at the church we went to a man's house in the village who was sick and were able to pray GOD's healing power over him, and also pray over his wife who was having a hard time dealing with his sickness.

The other main thing we did today was go to Espiritu y Verdad's main service at the new campus.  Larry had the opportunity again to speak over the body here in Mazatlan, he encouraged the church to receive the "2nd wind of GOD's presence in their lives" and begin to live in a new power.  At the end of the service Larry gathered all the young people in front of the church, and explained what it looked like to pass the torch on the next generation.  It was an awesome time of prayer over the youth of the church, prayer for power and grace over their lives.

Be praying for us tomorrow as we begin the student beach camp. Pray for guidance and leadership for each of our team members as they lead the students here. Be checking my (sarah) facebook for photos of the trip!

DAY 2

It was a great day 2 in Mazatlan for the team today, only adding to the expectation of what the LORD is going to do the rest of our time here!

This morning we went to the red light district of the city where there is a ministry set up to take care of the children of prostitutes.  While there, we were able to minister to the ninos by not only feeding them breakfast and giving them gifts, but also providing a puppet show that shared the gospel in a tangible way.  Many kids said they wanted to know JESUS in a more personal way which excited us for the rest of the day!

After leaving the red light district we headed to Espirtu y Verdad's new church building they are constructing and helped them paint the prayer room.  By doing this we were able to bless the church in a huge way because they wanted to do this before the rainy season hit, and they had no time to do it without our help.  It was a good opportunity for the team to get our hands dirty on the mission field and help the church here in a visible way.

Finally tonight we were able to join the youth group for their weekly worship service they have together.  It was an amazing time of exciting worship and prayer preparing for our camp next week.  We really saw the excitement the students here have for our upcoming camp, and this made our team all the more excited.

Please continue to pray for our team as we minister here in Mexico! Tomorrow be praying for us as we attend two different services, and minister to the outer village of Elota!
(pictures of all this to come soon, they are not wanting to upload tonight)
